Do you review gate?

Our reputation management software automatically allows for the review gate to be enabled. However you can request for this feature to be disabled as there are potential implications of review gating. Certain review sites will warn you that review gating is against their terms of service.

There are three main reasons for this:

  1. It's customers who have bad experiences are the ones that are likely to leave a review. Leaving those consumers with a positive experience less likely to leave a review.
  2. 84% of consumers read online reviews of a local business, so if you have a lot of negative reviews it will impact the likelyhood of your business being chosen.
  3. Our system isn't 100%, it will not stop a customer who is unhappy with your service to go directly to your business and leaving a negative review. Having negative reviews isn't a bad thing, because it makes your business REAL. However, having a lot of negatie reviews would impact your business if there are no positive ones.
